High Idle and valve stuff

Hi everyone,

Two quick questions for the panel:

1.  Is there any reason why I couldn't set my idle for My TR4 at between 1100 
and 1200 RPM's?  It smooths out and runs better that way.

2. Also, what are the symptoms of an engine needing a valve adjustment?  

Thanks to all who have provided me with previous help on my carb rebuilds.  I'm 
getting closer to my unveiling date.  Next its brakes(again).
