Hey David,

A couple of things come to mind.  Wires, cap, rotor, coil and low tension wire. 
 I had the  problem that after 15 minutes of running fine, my TR4 world start 
acting like it was missing.  I replaced these  components and it seemed to work.

Wires might be arching, coil could be no good, bad connectioin from the low 
tension wire, cracked cap or rotor. Any one of these can be a culprit.

Let me know what you find out.
