Brad - When I am cold, I quiver and shiver like crazy, too. Perhaps
the gauge is just cold, and it stops shivering when it warms up.
Perhaps you should wrap a little itty bitty scarf around it or buy it
a new pair of thermal underwear. :^)
(Okay, just kidding. Seriously, though, my Mk I Spit did the same,
although to a much lesser degree. In my case a new voltage stabilizer
cured the problem. You may want to check yours and replace with a new
one. Cheers.)
