Angle drive lube? for OD speedo cable

Triumphal ones,

What is the net wisdom on lubricating the angle drives found on
OD (and other) speedo cables?  I can't find any mention of doing
this in the manuals.  No problems with mine, just got the tunnel
out for some other service work and thought now would be a good 
time.  Oil or grease?
