Sumner,
I've found that WD-40 isn't the greatest rust penatrent. I started
using Liquid Wrench Rust Penatrent and it runs circles around WD-40.
I believe there is another brand that peopleon the list have been
using with great success but its name eludes me at the moment.
I believe WD-40 was not designed as a rust penatrent, it was designed
for nasa to be used on the launch pads I believe (someone correct me
if I'm wrong here!) I used the liquid wrench on my broken bleeder
screw and it certainly helped.
Good Luck,
Brad
