I own a '69 Vitesse Mk II engine no HC53931 HE
I want to change the head for an exchange example (origin unkown) but some of
the
openings for water c.q. oil are different.
The headgasket that is supplied from a well-known parts supplier is the same
that
is already on the engine. But this one blocks
(!) some of the openings. The headgasket fits better to the exchange example.
The
exchange example is a head wih double
valve springs.
Does anybody knows how to tell the difference between a herad for a:
- Vitesse 6
- Vitesse I / GT6 I
- Vitesse II / GT 6 II & III to KE 10000 flat block
- GT III from KE 10000 recessed block
Is it normal for Vitesse II head to have some of the openings blocked by the
gasket
and the bottem end ? This means that there
are to many openings in the head necessary for proper use.
Who knows??
