Actually, I have a blue/white wire.  I was missing a blue, and a brown/white.
Since the mainbeams now work with the light switch in the third position, I
assume the black wires were these.  The only blue/red wire I have is connected
to the dip switch.

The current problem (no pun intended) is that the marker and instrument lights
don't work, even though the switch works ( I have 12v across the fuse box from
the red/green to red wires).  The main beams, flashers, and dip switch all work
properly.  The markers and instrument lights worked fine before, but there was
a direct connection from the rheostat to the "blue" wire that the DPO put in.
They only worked when the mainbeams were also on (there was a two way toggle).
