Brad, there is nothing magical happening at this point. All you have is a nut
(the "knock-off") which is seized onto a thread (the end of the hub adaptor).
Seems to me that the DPO probably hadn't removed the knock-off in a while and
so it is rusted shut
Have you tried removing any of the other wheels yet? Are you using the proper
tool? (Since you have the Octagon nuts you should have the tool which spreads
the torque over the whole nut - just a long handle with an Octagon on the
end).
My suggestions:
1) Using the usual "nut-buster" spray of your choice, spray, wait, be patient,
repeat process, be patient, and see what happens
2) If (1) doesn't work, apply heat while turning
The next step is going to be removing the wheels themselves. Since the
"knock-offs" are seized, the wheels could also be rusted onto the splines. If
that is the case, you are going to need more patience.
