Hello all,
First the temp sensor. My first TR3 (rebuilt just as a driver) I just
left the bulb in the housing and tied it up so it would not dangle. My
second and third, the DPO had cut the lines so rebuilds were in order. I
just had my gauge rebuilt by Nisonger in NY and have installed it. The
gauge looks like new. They replaced the tube, rubber gaskets, repainted
the face and housing and even the chome ring looks like new. It cost
around $100. If I weren't doing a frame-up show car I wouldn't mess with
it. The wire is actually a tube filled with alcohol that expands and
contracts with heat.
Just a thought on the clutch problem. If you have had the slave off make
sure the bleed screw is on top. Air floats to the top and will not get
trapped that way. Also make sure the push rod is adjusted correctly.
Hope some of this helps.

Now a little commentary.
Alot of problems are stupid ones and are not ones that are highly
technical. Alot of people have a problem and assume it is something
serious. I work in electronics and have worked hours sometimes tracing
circuits when it was something really ignorant. Don't overlook the
obvious.

Cheers,
Mike Thompson
