  Sorry, I should have been a little more clear.

  The original distributors for Midget 1500s and Spits are different,
for
example mechanical versus electrical tach drive. However, the engines
are the same, my Midget engine originally powered a spitfire.

  I put an MGB 25D points distributor in my Midget 1500, which would
be the same as doing so in a Spitfire since I removed the "parts that
made them different".

  I don't claim that the advance curve was perfect for the engine by
any stretch, but I drove it two months this way.
