I've got to ask: If the dust cap has a hole in it, won't dust, etc get
to the wheel bearing and contaminate things?

Angelo,

If it is the same as my TR6, the previous owner may have messed it up
anyway. Grab your tray of odd bolts and try them till you find one that
fits. I used #12 and 1/4" machine screws and on my hubs. The bolt
pushes against the axle to gently ease out the cap.

My Autopress workshop manual (TR5/250/6) says to use a No. 10 AF
setscrew and in boldface warns "Do not pack the dust cap with grease."
