I'm told that the 2.5 l in mine ran reasonably well with 150CDs
installed. The previous owner did have 175s installed, so the bravery
(or foolhardiness) wasn't mine--I just bought it. The PO's mechanic
hacked off the flanges from a 2.5 l manifold, then welded them onto a
similarly denuded GT6 manifold at a lower position. There is enough
clearance that way, but it is a bit of an inelegant way to go about the
task. The biggest problem is that the PO also wanted wide K&N filters
installed, didn't save the old standard air cleaner housing, and the
housing retainer nuts on the K&Ns rub on the RH inner fender. Very
annoying....
