James,
Having driven vehicles that at one time or another lost vacuum, I think you
would just wind up with Manual brakes if the servo failed.

Subject: Brake Servos
You know the type of brake servos fitted to GT6's, the
straight through veriaty. If you retro fitted one of
these to a Spitfire, and it faild. Would the efect of
it not working detrement the brake proformance to less
than with out a brake servo.
I wan't to fit one, but am reluctant too, because of
the posible dangers if the servo is not in good condition.
Of cource I would overhaull, but I would still like to
know of anyones personal experiences. This is quite
low down on the list of things to do.
Thanks in advance
James
