Hi Glenn,
It is do-able. One suggestion go to your local parts house and get a
seal puller. Makes the job a lot easier than using screwdrivers.
I've done it the Spit, TR4A, and the TR6 I had in the 70's. I've also
done it on the 250 I still have.
