Hello all,
Swapped out distributors.....tach. works fine now. The little input
shaft to the tach had gotten dirty and bound up. I guess it took out the
nylon gear in my distributor. My turn signal indicator was on constantly
because of a bad flasher unit. I had two, one was shorted inside and the
other was open...figures! Anyway, can someone tell me what the two
vertical levers (one on each side of the heater unit) are for? They are
actually under the dash. Also, does a MkI have a little aluminum cap on
top of the body just behind the doors (one on each side)? One other
thing, My fuel gauge seems to read fine up to 1/4 tank but will not go
any higher. I have a new sending unit but befor i replace it i would
like to know if the voltage stabilizer could cause this.
