Do I need a new clutch for my 73 TR6 ?
After driving 20-30 miles it seems as if the car just keeps on going
when I take to foot off the gas pedal - the usual brake effect from
the engine is missing. This is most noticeable in the 4th gear or when
I turn off the overdrive, but it also happens, when I go from the 4th
gear to the third gear. Accelerating is still fine. There is no
hesitation when I step on the gas pedal. There is no problems, when
the car is cold.
If my assumption regarding a new clutch is correct, how much should I
expect to pay to have it fixed in the Palo Alto area in California,
and can anybody recommend a good clutch specialist.
