Hi all,
Is there any magic to bleeding the clutch slave cylinder on a TR3A?
I had taken it off the mounting bracket while I was replacing the
rod bearings and now the pedal is very soft although I can get the
clutch to work if I pump the pedal 5 or 6 times. I tried bleeding the
cylinder but I'm not sure it helped much. Even went as far as
removing the slave from the bracket and and bleeding it in a vertical
position. Never did see any air bubbles.
Also does any one know how much the push rod which connects to the
throwout shaft lever needs to move in order to disengage the clutch?
I thought I could see if I was getting full stroke or not.
Hopefully I'm not suffering from the dreaded "throwout fork pin
breakage" syndrome :-(
Thanks,
Drew
