I read an article about ten years ago, I think in Road & Track, that said 
something about countries where people drive on the left side.  It didn't
give a definitive list, just mentioned the obvious ones and said something
about some "insignificant" islands and countries in Africa, without
mentioning which ones.  However, it also said something about boats having
something to do with driving on the left side.  The whole thing was rather
tongue-in-cheek, but there may be a kernel of truth in it.
