This is an interesting thread...(at least to me)...I'm not familiar
with the Herald rear springs...are they similar to GT-6? Would the
idea of reversing a leaf work for the GT-6?????
Any thoughts?????

my commiserations to the driver who rolled his herald
i found an article many years ago that enables you to get lots or heaps of
negative camber without resorting to soft worn out springs.
this comes from 'practical motorist annual 72' (1972) page 80
.........'counting from the main leaf, turn number four upside down.'
this gives you a healthy amount of negative camber and feels great. my car has
been running like this for years. to get more you can also reverse number
five
but i think this would be too much.
it is slightly difficult to get the spring together again but not impossible. i
got my wife to stand on it while holding the washing line for balance while i
put the bolts in.
australian heralds also had a packing piece in the front suspension to raise it.
it is worth removing this if doing the above mod.
