FWIW (probably not much) there is a company in Texas that puts Ford 5.0
engines into new Miatas, and sells them as a Miata dealer, complete with
warranty. Supposedly, the handling is not compromised much, and the cars meet
the 50 state EPA requirements. I think they sell for around $45,000.
