Here's the formula I use for figuring speed:
MPH= (RPM x tire diameter in inches x pi)/(final gear ratio x gearbox ratio
x 1056)
I put all this into a spreadsheet and it's pretty handy to keep a copy in
the glovebox.
The speedo on a TR6 was set up for 185-15 tires; calibrated connotes some
sort of accuracy. ;-)
