Hi all,
I just recently purchased my first Triumph, a 1974 TR6. I'm new to
triumphs but not british cars (I owned a sunbeam for a number of years).
The car runs out well (I love the big six cylinder and the Monza exhaust)
but the rear end is bouncey. Inspection of the lever action rear shocks
shows they are wet and have no resistance. I assume the fluid has leaked
out and that the seals need to be replaced to correct this problem.
1. Are kits available to rebuild these units?
2. Is there a company/person who rebuilds them and am I better off sending
them to get them rebuilt rather than attempt myself.
3. Are #1 and #2 not really good options and should I just break down and
buy the new units from TRF?
Thanks in advance,
Terry
