The Standard Triumph European Rally is very much aimed at promoting the
great camaraderie enjoyed by all owners and enthusiasts of Standard and
Triumph cars
worldwide so we do hope that you will want to attend.

1300s, 1500s, Dolomites and more...
The organisation of this new event is now in full swing and all owners and
enthusiasts of Standard and Triumph cars are invited to attend. As
previously
published, the event is to be held at the Klein Vink Holiday Park, Arcen
near Venlo in Holland over the weekend of the 24-25 May 1997. Klein Vink is
an inland
holiday park set in woodlands with surrounding lakes well used to holding
car and other events, and is an excellent venue for family breaks. The site
has facilities for
a wide range of sports and other activities which include indoor and
outdoor swimming pools; tennis; pony riding etc.; a number of which are
included in the price of
the weekend. There is also a creche available for the little ones and
events such as a local bicycle tour can also be enjoyed.
Details of the event have been sent to over 100 Standard Triumph clubs and
also to over 100 Traders and all the usual attractions that you would
expect from such
a show are currently being arranged. These include Trade and Autojumble
stands; club stands; sideshows; driving test; Concours d'Elegance; car
tuning facilities;
evening get together; raffle/tombola and more. Those interested in entering
the concours event are requested to ask for the concours rules and
admission details
when booking to come to the event.
Accommodation is in the form of either comfortable, two bedroom, self
catering chalets which take 4 people or camping - please bring your own
tents. Facilities are
also available for caravans or mobile homes. As chalets are likely to be in
large demand early booking is encouraged. Should visitors wish to arrive
earlier or leave
later than the Friday afternoon to Monday morning schedule suggests this is
also possible. Please ask for details. Should you not wish to stay on site
a list of hotels is
available on request.
