I don't believe that Triumph assigned a paint code to the black paint used on
the tail/rockers. It is a flat black, altought some prefer a semi-gloss. When
I resprayed my car with a basecoat/clearcoat (PPG) paint I wanted something
more durable than a simple single-stage flat black. I came up with a
basecoat/clearcoat used on late 80's Mercedes bumpers. A perfect match with
the durability of a clearcoat.

Hope this helps.
