Hate to admit it but, I got to test drive one last month with my
friend Dave. It handled like a dream. I could really go for one, except
for $50,000 price tag. Porsche has really done a good job on the car.
I especially like the rear end, lately a lot of cars look like the
designers left it off! One my of the few concerns (besides the first
$50,000) is that there is little or no access to the engine/ transaxle,
you have to remove the entire rear coweling of the car to gain access.
This means an extra 2-3 hours at the dealership at $80+ an hour.
On the other hand my '6 has never looked better to me. Even if she's
having her top end rebuilt at the moment. There is little in life that
provides satisfaction sense of accomplishment like rebuilding or
restoring you very first car. I can't wait to get her back on the road
were she belongs.
