>From the radio on Monday:
UK Police were using a radar gun to measure motorists' speed when
they were puzzled to see a reading of over 300 mph. Suddenly, there
was a mighty roar and an RAF Harrier zoomed overhead at
not-very-many-feet altitude.
A bit miffed by this, they complained to the RAF who responded that
they were aware of the incident and were pleased with the outcome
really, as the Harrier's defence system had locked onto the police
radar and the automatic air-to-ground retaliation systems had been
initiated!
