TRF sells a special solid steering rack mounts that replace the stock
rubber cushioned mounts.
It seems that the idea is to remove the side play that the stock mounts
often have. Do these new
mounts increase the road vibration much? If this is a competition only
item, I'll do another round
of tightening the stock mounts. The car shakes enough as it is.

In the Bentley manual, the Ignition timing spec is for the 74 TR6 is:
12 BTDC Static
4 ATDC Dynamic
I put a Crane Ignition on the car so Static timing is no longer an
option. I set the
timing to the 4 ATDC and the car runs fine. Several times in this list,
I have seen where
people have said to disregard the 4ATDC value and to set it to something
else.more advanced.
What is the real story? Is there some reason that 4 ATDC is wrong other
than the fact that it
sounds wrong?
