Hi,

Do yourself a favor: remove the carb to do this job. It is much easier on
a bench. You have to remove the float bowl to do this, and if you do it
while the carb is still on the car, you have to remove the 5 or 6 screws
holding the bowl on "blindly". You will need a new gasket for the float
bowl, so you might as well do a "refresh" while you have it off the car.

The hardest part of the job is getting the nuts that hold the cars to the
intake manifold to thread. Not much space there!

O-ring replacement is straightforward, but I always have trouble holding
in the little "bayonets" and applying enough force to get the old o-ring
to let go from the casting. This is a classic "three hands required" job.

Goob luck!
