Welcome to the triumphs list! The paint code for a 1976 TR6 can
be found on the "Commission / Vehicle ID Plate" on the door jamb
inside the driver's door. If the car has been repainted, this
plate may have been painted over, but the numbers were stamped
into it, so it should still be readable.

This plate will contain the commission number (VIN) of the car,
the build month (like Jan 1976) and the codes for the exterior
paint and interior trim.

Get the code from there, and look it up on the TR6 Painting Guide
at the VTR site:
   http://www.vtr.org/maintain/paint-guide-tr6.html

Also, for others reading this on the list that know original paint
schemes on other Triumphs, feel free to contact me about writing
a paint guide for the other cars for inclusion on the VTR pages.
