        I have had limited experience with air brushes... Mabe I can help.
        The usability of airbrushes depends on what you are going to paint.
        There are various nozzles available to create spray patterns almost 
        as small as pencil lines. Remember, unless you already have a 
        compressor with a good moisture trap, you will need one.

        For the average car part (for example a lower A arm or a winsheild 
        wiper motor) I have used either Rustoleum directly from a can (after 
        a coat of Rustoleum rusty metal primer), or black Ditzler automotive 
        enamel sprayed through one of those disposable paint sprayers (they 
        come with a can of propellant that screws to a glass jar). These 
        sprayers are cheap and do a remarkably good job of getting the 
        paint to the surface...
