Look inside the shock outer protective housing.  You should see a large
rubber bumper of sorts inside with a split on one side.  You will need to
push/remove this from the tube.  Then it's just a matter of pushing the
shock all the way into its shortest position, engaging the adjusting screw,
and twist the shock bottom relative to the top either clockwise, or
counter-clockwise to adjust.  I can't remember which direction adjusts soft
or hard but it should be evident by the amount of resistance felt after
adjusting -
