You only want to get 1500 more miles out of the engine? Heck, as long as there's enough groove left on the block to hold the washers, get the largest you can find (.008?), put 'em in and go. I drove at least 1500 miles in my TR4A with all four washers lying in the pan! (The block is now scrap metal I should add, but it never quit running.) John Paul Middlesworth 1966 TR4A |
