I have to agree with the general concensus; I'll take a well preserved
original over a resto anyday! Really well cared for old cars do have a
"look" that the resto's can't match. I was at the Shelby club (SAAC)
meet at Limerock several years ago. There had to be 50 427 Cobra's. 49
of them were 1/4 million $ resto trailer queens. The 50th got my vote-
the owner drove the car from Long Island, NY. He used the car year
round, and had the pictures to prove it! It had dings, dirt on the
engine and chassis, and the vibe it sent out was of car that was was
free to do what Shelby meant it to do- run mighty and free out on the
streets!
