I've been working for a very long time with many tangents trying to solve
an irregular idle and the engine death when braking. After all the usual
avenues, I installed a glass "Clear View" in line fuel filter at the carb and
noticed water accumulating in the filter. AHA!!! there was a bit of water
in the tank. I drank it all out (or syphoned it) and she runs grrrrrrreat.
Man what a RELIEF.
I found that my gas guage does work, but the float is full of water or gas
:)
Question: What can I patch the float with. I do know that hot glue melts
in gas.
I am a happy boy with my car now running right.
