All, Using the downdraft IDA Webers on V8s are usually accompanied by horror stories of engine fires. I've never heard such stories associated with the sidedraft DCOEs. Is this something that DCOE owners are worried about? As a side note, I have to gloat a little. There was a huge swap meet in San Diego this last weekend; I picked up a pair of unused Marchal Ampiluxs for $100, still in their boxes. Now where are those stone guards.....
