Dan,
I'm probably putting my foot in my mouth on this one but here it goes.
The early GT's had a glass bowl on the pump. More than likely the arm for
the pump is a different length as well.
The difference you will see on the later pumps is the price difference
between the aftermarket manufacturer ($19-$29) and the original equipment
AC($69-$79). A friend that owns a shop tells me the cheaper ones don't last
as long. I myself have no experience other than 145k miles and 25 years and
only replaced the AC once about 3 years ago. But I do know people that buy
the cheap and do replace them more often and at the most inconvenient times
and places.
I did notice a place on the web offering NOS fuelpumps for the early GT6
MKI. I have never used this supplier but it might be worth checking into.
It's called Triumph Only. http://tmx.com/triumphsonly/
As for DPO and LBC, I'll let someone else take a stab at that!
Good Luck!
