Fellow motorists-
At one time or another, we have all ordered parts from the usual vendors.
We have had our share of problems. Victoria British has had more pronlems
than most. Moss is usually very good, but the Moss Europe Catalogs are so
much more informative. TRF has been the scorned vendor of this mail list.
This upsets me
because they are rebulding an engine for me. They had a 25% off sale, and I
purchased the engine rebuild on the last day of the sale in September.
The one problem is that the tappets and the 87mm liners are on backorder
from their vendor. Now, they are telling me it will be another 4-6 weeks
(as of last Wednesday).
I cannot fault them for not having these parts in stock. Afterall they are
giving a one year 12,000 mile warranty on the engine. To me it seems they
are very particular about the parts they sell, and want to provide the best
to their customers.
By no means is this an endorsement of one vendor over another (talk to me
in two months, especially if the sun is warm and my car is barren (no
engine).
If one vendor gives you a problem try another. That is what they are there for.
