Herald Front Valance needed

I need a lower front valance from a Herald 948 or early 1200! If anybody
has one without rustthrough, that they might be willing to sell, please
please PLEASE contact me. Surface rust is OK. It's also OK if the steel
strips that hold the rubber bumpers are bad or missing. I'm only
concerned with the basic sheet metal. Mine is hopelessly shot, pretty
much all the way across behind the rubber bumpers. Can't be fixed. Dead,
Jim. The car is being restored this winter.

My car is an early Herald 1200. I just found out last week that the
lower front valance it came with is not the same as the one Kipping and
others offer for the 1200. Seems Standard Triumph added a built-in
license plate holder to the basic pressing sometime after my car was
built (it's an early '62). I can get one of these in fiberglass for
about $50, and it's supposedly available is steel as well. That's NOT
what I want. Won't somebody PLEASE save me from putting a body part that
wasn't designed until '63 onto my otherwise very original '62?
