Dean,
The best place to get good used spares is in England. Secondhand, or
S/H as they abbreviate it, spares are unbelievably inexpensive. You
could probably get a set of the early Stromberg carbs for #40 or so
(about $65). Personally, I would switch to SU's HS4's. If you are
planning to run a hotter cam, header, etc., you can get adapter plates
to allow you to use the larger HS6's. These carbs are also cheap S/H
over there. If you contact one of the Brit folks on this list, they
