HS6 Carbs for TR6s

Checked on the price of HS6 carbs for TR6s, from the 707 area code phone
number in Hemmings, the price is $600 without linkage and $630 with
linkage.  According to the man selling the carbs, he is getting a lot of
action from Calfornia residents who have to smog their TRs.

Has any body tried them and has had their cars smogged?
