True, but even Standard-Triumph did engage in a bit of "badge
engineering" for certain markets. Witness, for example, both Standard and
Triumph versions of the 10, not to mention the mighty Atlas Van. ;-)

They could do worse than to rename a current Rover. After all, a lot of
Triumph engineering went into the late 1970s / early 1980s Rovers such as
the SD1 series.
If BMW/Rover can do a "Triumph" the way Honda/Rover did the Sterling for
the U.S., albeit with the BMW level of quality (not the not-so-sterling
level of quality), I'd be a happy camper.
Biggest question, though, is what badge to use? Globe? "Open book"?
Laurel wreath? My preference would be for either globe or open book,
similar to Chrysler's resurrection of their earlier logos.
