Right, dropped the 383 complete with 3 speed torqueflite in the A40, Wowwwww,
talk about acceleration, although i can only accelerate in a straight line, as
the front of the car goes VERY light and the steering has little effect on the
direction of the car, also all I can see once the blood has drained from my
eyeballs is the sky...its a very strange feeling!!! Also, those new 145x13
remoulds I put on the rear don't seem to stand up to the extra power too well
as they have already shed the tread!!! And, the for some strange reason the
new brake linings I put in the original drums have already burnt themselves
out, Must have been a bit faulty I suspect!!! The good news though is I have
saved some weight as I don't need a prop shaft now for the gearbox to reach the
Diff!!!!! :-)
On a lighter note, I stuffed the front of the spitfire into someones Peugeot
this morning, only damage other than yellow paint on his bumper was a 8x2 inch
dent in the bonnet, glad the bonnet was crap before hand or I'd have been
really P*ssed off else.....:-) I'm just glad I didn't say 'Gee, sorry man, but
ya know, accidents do happen!!!'
Oh well, atleast the school girls found the incident amusing...:-)
