Whooo boy. This is deja vu all over again...

Mark 1's are OK. Mark 2's are better. Oh well...

Been there. Done that. Bought a car I had only seen in photos. Owner swore
it would make the drive from Portland, Oregon to St. Louis, Missouri (about
2100 miles, I think). Owner forgot to mention horrible grinding sound coming
from rear end...
Anyway, I didn't make it. Thanks to lots of good SOLers in Denver, I was
saved. I'll probably not ever do that again - get a trailer!

I can't tell how far you are planning on driving this car, but if it's more
than a few hundred miles, get a trailer. If it IS a U-joint, you're looking
at a flopping broken axle at speed, and, personally, that thought SCARES me!
My GT6+ is now in my shop, getting ready for an engine overhaul and a fresh
coat of paint. I still love it - but the adventurous drive through the Rockies
will certainly last me a lifetime!

Good luck - the GT6 is the most beautiful Triumph ever made. There. I said it.
And I own two Spits and a TR250, too!
