Thanks to everybody that responded regarding the header coatings. The
results were almost unanimous (sp?). Here we go...

Chad: ...a company called Jet Hot Coatings. They sandblasted and
coated it with some type of plasma spray. Total cost was just over $100
counting shipping. It even comes with a LIFETIME guarantee!!!!!
...Their number is 1 800 432 3379.

Don: Best I've seen is "Jet-Hot", a coating that coats the outside
AND the inside of
the header... looks great, ...cost me $95.00 (a "deal")

Jack: ...How big is your oven?

Nick: ...paint... ...it will burn off. The best paint (?) I have
ever seen on a header was on one from Stahl headers in Pa. If you
really want to keep that header lookin new, send it to Jet-Hot...

Well, looks like the votes have been counted, and Jet-Hot comes highly
recommended.
I wonder it there's a place that does this stuff locally? I kinda don't
like the idea of shippping my header away. I'll really miss it :-).
Anyway, I wonder if this thing would fit in my gas barbeque? Now where
did that measuring tape go...

I think I will try to paint it if I can cure it properly. I know that
it will deteriorate with time, but I am planning to also use some sort
of wrap on the pipes to cut down on heat up to the carbys...

I figure if it doesn't prove to be satisfactory, then I can take it off
and invest in Jet-Hot...

Thanks again for the responses...
