I don't know about other markets, but air conditioning was offered as a 
dealer-installed option on Heralds and Vitesses (Sports 6 here) sold in the 
U.S.A. I believe the system was sourced in the United States. I've never 
seen anything but pictures of the installation (I believe there might be 
a photo in Graham Robson's _Triumph Herald & Vitesse_). I'd have to 
guess running air conditioning on a Herald might have been a bit trying 
for the good old 1147! ;-)
