Pat, I,ve had good luck with the newer liquid anti-rust stuff that you paint on and it turns black when it dries. It actually converts the rust to some other primer-like material. I applied it to some areas of my car several years ago and have not seen any recurrance since. I'm told that it is very hard to sand, so it is not recommended for outside body panels. It seems to work well on "surface rust", but of course it won't fix real rot. Good luck, Jim Harroun |
