Well, Ralph, good thing I didn't judge the Spitfires during the Vintage
Hurricane Register Meet in Albany. You'd have lost BIG TIME for that
one. ;-)
Seriously, I don't foresee any short-term harm, but I do think the loops
do help take up some of the movement and vibration without unduly
stressing the pipe. Over the years, I've usually bunged fittings or
snapped off pipes at the fittings long before I've seen the pipe split
anywhere else, especially at the loops.
