Robert,

They were (unfortunately) never made - it is the same car which is often
referred to as the Spit-Six - so the only way to make it, is to do it
yourself - and there are two ways to do that:

1) The hard way - take a spit, dump a 2 liter engine in it, upgrade brakes,
suspension (for the heavier engine), etc

2) The 'easier' way - take a GT6, cut the tub off, and find a Spit in a
junk-yard (please - don't use a restorable Spit for this) and just take the
tub from that, weld it on - and fit the top - and you should be on your way.

This will of course greatly upset Triumph-concours fans - but I say - go
with your own feelings on this - you are the one driving it - not the angry
mob ;-)

Later,

Michael - might just get a Spit-Six one of these days....

GT6 Mk. 2 1969 (Red w/1972 GT6 engine - and black targa-top)
GT6 Mk. 3 1971 (White - w/TR250 engine)
....not responsible for any of these changes...
....the DPO did it....hmmmm.....
