Hi All,

I finally had the opportunity to jack up the rear end and do a close
inspection of where my clunk may be coming from. Thanks to all who submitted
their thoughts, however, I think I've ruled out:

Broken diff mounts (everything looks and feels tight)
Wheel Bearings (no indicative sound, but you never know)
Suspension (all bolts etc. tight)

I noticed that there was a nice greasy coating on the right/passenger rear
drum, so I pulled that side apart. Checked the U under the boot, and it
looks solid and shows no slop. I can't, however, seem to get the axel loose.
If I need to loosen from the diff, it seems too close to get much of any
tool in there. If I need to loosen from the half shaft (by the 2nd U), it
rotates, and seems almost more difficult. Any pointers are welcome.

Also, noticed that I appear to be leaking slightly from the diff. It travels
along my right exhaust to the front/middle of the undercarriage. Not knowing
what hypoid 90 smells like, I can't be sure. I do know that it is not brake
fluid (since I played with so much yesterday).
