My fellow Triumphers,
I have the head off on my Spitfire and am having a go at indexing the spark
plugs, (i.e. using spark plug washers as shims to aim the plug electrode at
the intake valve). Having never done this before I've noticed that it can
take 3 or 4 washers to get the little suckers to aim properly. This is
causing some of the plugs to ride noticably higher in the head. Is this the
proper procedure or will the way the plugs are riding couteract any increase
in performance I hope to gain?
Great big thanks in advance,
